June is Kick Your Habit Month, and SANCA is inviting South Africans to take part in the #70Challenge from 22–28 June 2026.
The challenge is simple:

Whether you're trying to cut back on sugar, reduce screen time, stop vaping, avoid junk food, or overcome procrastination, lasting change starts with small daily actions.
5 Tips to Help You Succeed
1. Start with One Habit
Don't try to change everything at once. Choose one habit that is holding you back and focus on that for the week.
2. Know Your Triggers
Pay attention to when and why the habit happens. Is it stress, boredom, loneliness, or routine? Understanding the trigger helps you prepare for it.
3. Use the 70-Second Swap
When the urge strikes, replace the habit with something positive for just 70 seconds. Stretch, take a walk, drink water, breathe deeply, listen to music, or message a friend.
4. Delay the Urge
Most urges lose intensity when we don't act immediately. Challenge yourself to delay the habit for 70 minutes and see how your mindset changes.
5. Celebrate Small Wins
Every urge resisted is a victory. Every day completed is progress. Focus on improvement, not perfection.
